University of North Texas UNT was EIF's first University Partner. In this partnership, DISD students who complete the Education is Freedom curriculum will be automatically admitted to UNT's Emerald Eagle Scholars program, assuming the student is academically and financially eligible. Each Emerald Eagle Scholar will have at least $28,000 in tuition and fees covered during their college career; thus, it is estimated that this partnership will result in a $7 million benefit to EIF students graduating from high school between 2009 and 2013. University of North Texas at DallasUNT Dallas is the only 4-year public university in the city of Dallas. UNT Dallas and EIF will work together to ensure Dallas ISD students who have sucessfully completed the Education is Freedom curriculum, and have met UNT Dallas admission standards, will have access to $2.5 million in scholarship assistance to cover UNT Dallas tuition, fees and other college related costs between 2010 and 2015.

Texas A&M University-Commerce A&M-Commerce and EIF have a $3.2 million dollar partnership focusing on preparing and motivating the students of Dallas ISD to go to college and to succeed. EIF students will get priority consideration to the university's Honors College, and could recieve four-year scholarships at the university. The students will also be able to earn up to $1,500 by attending a variety of A&M-Commerce campus activities, such as athletic events and college prep and financial aid sessions.
